I was over thinking this post, wondering if it qualified as business-savvy. But attitude infuses every decision we make as a business leaders. And, Inc. magazine claims that an upbeat attitude makes success simple.
So here goes, I’m thankful….
…to wake up ready to roll each morning. Waking up is pretty great all by itself, but excited, can’t wait to start my day is a fantastic bonus.
…for the air around here. Not just anywhere air, but our air, moist, clean, ‘filled with opportunity’ air. It’s alive, and just walking and breathing cheers me up.
…for our freedoms as Americans and my Midwest work ethic. My parents sprinkled magic ‘work hard, then work harder’ dust over our cribs each night. I can’t leave work each evening until I’m satisfied with my efforts for my team, our company, our clients. What a blessing.
…for my loved ones…family, friends, the man I adore. Each one inspires me in endless, oft hysterical ways.
…for my hood, Portland’s Pearl District. May Jimmy Mak’s with Mel Brown, Dan Balmer and Renato Caranto hit the high notes for a long time to come.
